Coping with Confidence
Thursdays March 15, July 19, October 18 7:00-8:00pm
Working through the stages of labor feeling supported and confident is the goal of this workshop. During this workshop, we will be talking about what it means to “cope with confidence” during the stages of labor, how a partner can support the laboring woman, and you will have an opportunity to practice some hands-on techniques to support a woman’s needs.
You will have a chance to learn about various positions, breathing styles, relaxation techniques and massage. Combining two or more of these relaxation methods will provide a laboring woman with what she needs.
Cost: $10/person or couple
Pre-Registration required: e-mail Amy for more information.

Your child(ren) will listen to stories, sing songs, dress and diaper a baby doll or stuffed animal, and end with a treat and an art project. This class is appropriate for children ages 2-6. The Weave of Motherhood
Tuesdays January 24-March 6 6:30-8:00pm
Motherhood is the most important, yet unacknowledged psychological shift in a woman’s identity. Mothers are left to cope with the huge changes in their life without the necessary supportive context for their new emotions, thoughts, or daily experience.
Through this group you have the opportunity to take a step back, regroup, and re-emerge with new capacities for love and self-awareness. Through connection, introspection and creative expression you can strengthen and elicit respect for and a deeper understanding of your work of motherhood.
Amy Makice and Connie Nelson Laird facilitate this series.
Please call to register. Registration Fee $15-25, Program Fee $40-130, Supplies $10
